As you begin to more deeply understand yourselves, your students, your context, and your system, you need to focus your efforts for making change. This chapter will guide you through identifying a specific inequity you want to address and making a shared commitment to hold yourself and your team accountable to. Resources in this chapter will:

  • Define what an Equity Challenge and Equity Imperative are
  • Provide questions to define the scope of your Equity Imperative (i.e. what to include/not include)
  • Show examples of ways different organizations have identified their Equity Challenge and articulated their Equity Imperative
